Our classes run 4 x per year – for 8 weeks – with the school terms. Beginner’s leadlight is usually on a Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm, and we also have a Thursday morning class from 9.30am til 12.30pm.
We run an ‘advanced’ class for copperfoil and further projects on a Tuesday evening, from 6.00pm til 9.00pm. No previous experience is necessary.
The 8 x 3hour lessons cost: $360.00
The tools cost approx. $450 spread over the 8 weeks
Material costs will depend upon your choice of project.
Copperfoil:
We recommend you do a leadlight course before your copperfoil class as this ensures you are experienced at glass cutting. However this is not obligatory. Copperfoil requires more exact skills.
You can make lampshades, suncatchers or three-dimensional objects such as candleholders in this course. Tools required cost approx. $300 and all are found in the leadlight tool kit.
